A dream within a dream I had One stormy summer’s night Of Stefano Dimera And a beachball colored white Walking on the beach he was Attired in black robe one Completely unaware was he Of his fate soon to come He ventured past the water’s edge His destiny grew nearer The ocean’s view so tempting Such as an eternal mirror Chasing waves to neckline depths A mistake that soon would sever His spirit, body, and too, his heart Then Stefano was gone forever After this I did arise To a world perceived as real And by my side aquarium Which shattered to a spill Broken glass lay all around Golden lives died before me In my mind thoughts then stirred Of sunlight in the morning Suddenly my eyes did part To the windows sunlit gleam Only then I recalled A dream within a dream
